Re: Fit: Alico double vs ski march

Trying to figure out which Alico 75mm ski boot I have: 10-15+ years old, heavy leather, 2-buckle lace up. Comparable to Excursion light plastic boots in support level... very nice useable "XCD/BC" ski boot... not really for skiing cross country miles, definitely more downhill oriented. Not seeing a ...

Re: Squash a little camber out of S-Bound 125?

Interesting comments, someone who compares them to the Voile' Vectors with more forward mount and feels in soft powder they "tip dive" unless he gets "way back". I just must say that yes, in soft powder one must adjust their typical stance to keep tips up on any ski, tho I suppose you could mount fu...

Re: Voile V6 compared to Vagabond - Mount Advice?

Further I'll say I am not a particularly aggressive skier, but do have decades of skiing many days per season and a fairly wide variety of terrain from tight trees to moderate alpine gullies... my Voile' Vector BC's are mounted somewhat ahead of Voile's recommendation, ski the best for me. My Vector...

Re: Voile V6 compared to Vagabond - Mount Advice?

Trust your instincts! No doubt the bindings are (typically!) too far back on the Vagabond. I don't get what is wrong with many manufacturer's binding placement recommendations. Be centered and balanced for best ski performance!!

Re: BC 125 or BC 110 ??

I am a fan of Rossignol BC 125's (165cm)! They are unique with big camber, but are fast and efficient for powder, super responsive, great floatation compared to the 110's. Caveat: bindings MUST be more centered/forward so that ball of foot, not pin, is on center/balance point (+2.5"+). I just got a...

Re: Rossignol BC 125 - What are people using for bindings & boots?

Love the Rossi BC 125's driven with Garmont (now Scott) Excursion plastic 75mm BC ski boot. Caveat: binding mounted so ball of foot, not pin, on mfg. indicator line/balance point, or approx. 2.5" or more ahead! These high cambered (older version) skis are super responsive in soft snow and powder con...
