Re: Leather 3-pin for SB112?
... I mounted my Rotte cable on a Voile 10 mm riser, allowing the heel throw to latch onto the heel piece for easy transitions. I see that Rotte makes a 10mm riser for their ST; any reason you went with Voile? Any reason not to go with the Rotte riser? Edited to add link to the Rotte 10mm ST riser:...

Re: Leather 3-pin for SB112?
Thanks for all the input on this. The Voile pitch for their 201 binding did remind me that their 3-pin cable binding (which I have on the SB112 and works great with the T3's) does NOT work so well with the narrower-ducked Alaska. And I hear Tom's point about why go leather if the leather boot that f...

Re: Leather 3-pin for SB112?
Thanks for the comments. I have not been keeping up with the leather 3-pin offerings. It looks like the Crispi Svartisen and Bre would also hit the mark for driving a SB 112 class. I recall reading here something about Lundhags, too -- I guess I should research those all a bit -- it would be good to...

Leather 3-pin for SB112?
I have a trusty pair of Scarpa T-3's, but sometimes I just don't want to go plastic. Any recommendations for a burly enough leather boot? I did see the Alico Mountain offered by Altai. I'm thinking the Alpina Alaska is on the soft side. The binding on the SB112 is Voile 3-pin cable, so the cable can...

Re: Weak ankles due to minor accidents
I have no idea what you need, but I have been wearing an ankle stabilizer like this in my various ski boots. https://www.amazon.com/Med-Spec-Ankle-Stabilizer-Black/dp/B00TZTO0QC/ref=asc_df_B00TZTO0QC/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309872231410&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14721153019769621299&hvpone=&...

Re: Hoks in the whites (NH)
IMO, Hoks are best for NO trail -- poking around in the woods -- but I can't speak for the Whites.

Re: kom vs Fischer Sbound 125 advice please
If it is "low-moderate angle, lighter weight touring" that you are after, the S-bound 112 might be right. Sorry, I know that didn't answer your question, but perhaps relevant to your concern about "expensive mistake." Maybe if you say a bit more about your desired use, others may chime in. Edit: Kom...

Re: Binding recommendation for Karhu Guides and Garmont Excursions
Sounds like you like a cable, so Voile 3-pin cable is a solid possibility; also Super Telemark, but be sure the boot's duck bill fits the ST trap (I'm sure somebody here knows). Sounds like you probably don't need free-pivot (like Voile Switchback). I'm sure you'll hear from others - I just happened...

Re: New Intuition Liners for a T4
FWIW, here is an email I got from Intuition (the links did not come through): Below are all Medium Volume, lower height liner options. Denali liners (website store link: Denali) Logan liners (website store link: Logan) Universal liners (website store link: Universal) If you need a thicker High Vol...
