Re: ASNES Mountain Race 48 Skin place to buy from in Europe ?

Hi, Skaugsport delivers also abroad. Just send them an email. You need to calculate in VAT and possible taxes when ordering directly from Norway into EU. You may also need local help importing the skis through Polish customs, unless you are fluent in Polish. https://www.skaugsport.no/produkt/asnes-m...

Re: Panorama M62: contradictory reviews...

I had to try this light telemark myself too. Madshus M62 185cm, Super Telemark with cable, and Asolo Doubles on piste in soft conditions. Perfect! It worked a lot better than expected, and I could ski confidently blue and red slopes. Navigating downhill with leather boots is quite a fun feeling. I s...

Re: Panorama M62: contradictory reviews...

Those japanese guys are rocking the Italian Crispi's with style! I'm looking to add to my quiver my widest ski yet to attempt my first tele turns and the skis I've found that are available are the Madshus Panorama M62 & 68 and for about $100 more the Åsnes Nansen and Ingstad. Kaukopaa, I appreciate...

Re: Panorama M62: contradictory reviews...

Here's one more photo for comparison: M62 185 cm vs. Glittertind 195 cm, which is much stiffer with double chamfer. I have not used M55 much yet, but it has really loose tip in comparison to my old Glittertind. I got 190 cm, which is likely too short given the nordic rocker I didn't expect beforehan...

Could you squeeze them easily, though?
Yes. With M55 not.

And no problems, there has been a lack of information on new Madshus skis, so I'm happy to contribute.

Re: Panorama M62: contradictory reviews...

From theory to practice today: 10 cm of new snow of hard base, glide and grip waxed base. M62 is very fast compared to waxless Annum both downhill and when covering distance. Both have 185 cm length. However, there is a penalty. Annum turns much better on todays soft snow. M62 has nice bounce when s...

Re: Panorama M62: contradictory reviews...

I checked again, and you are right, M62 has also nordic rocker. And M55 has even more of it. Please see the images below. They are not quite in same scale, but the difference is clear.

Re: Panorama M62: contradictory reviews...

Hi, I'd say M62 has almost alpine chamber, but it's higher and stiffer than my old Åsnes V20 (68 mm waist). M62 does not have any nordic rocker. In comparison, my M55 has both nordic rocker and double chamber. I guess it's time to take M62 out for a small ride tomorrow. Greetings from Southern Finla...
