Thanks for this lilcliffy.
I never would have considered suggesting my 7-yo (116cm, 21kg) try his sister's old 140cm MR JRs but I"m definitely going to now!

Re: XCd for kids
I should mention another option - the Sporten BC Lite 64 - fishscale, metal edge and availablein shorter lenghts. Norseman Outdoor in Calgary has some (or did back in September). They are also who recommended the Rossi Nordic Touring NNN Boots that both my daughter and I are using even though they d...

Re: XCd for kids
I got the Mountain Race Juniors for my daughter last year in a 140cm size. She was 10 last year and ~26kg and ~140cm. They were great and she really enjoyed the adventure aspect compared to skiing in the tracks. She used them withe Rossi WOMEN'S NORDIC TOURING BOOTS XC-5 FW which I also highly recom...

Re: NNN-BC Boots barely used
I'm usually a US size 12. 46-47 in Eur. 29 (=- 0.5) in mondo. The Glitters fit pretty well but i got heel lift in them. But this is a recurring theme for me with all NNN-BC boots I've tried and it's more a case of the stiffness of the sole of the NNN-BC boots compared to regular NNN classic boots. I...

NNN-BC Boots barely used
In my quest to find the perfect fitting boot I have some almost new boots to sell.
Alpina Alaska NNN-BC sz 46 - $175.00 CAD
Madshus Glittertind sz 45 - $150.00 CAD
Both were too large for me.
I'm in British Columbia and will ship to pretty much anywhere.

Re: Asnes Mountain Race 48 SKIN
I just received my Mountain Race 48 in 200cm length. I'm 83-84 kg and Asnes suggests this size for 70-90kg. Well, first time skiing with them I forgot to bring my kick wax so I put the nylon skins on. I might as well have had snowshoes on my feet. I was starting at the groomed nordic trails, looking...

Re: NNN BC Heel Slip
Thanks for the replies so far. I do have a low volume foot. Slightly on the narrow side though I have square toes so usually like a shoe/boot with large toe box. For reference, these shows have been a revelation for me https://www.altrarunning.com. I always use an after-market insole. Mostly using t...

NNN BC Heel Slip
Fairly new to XCD, bought some e99s a few years back and take them out in the shoulder season mostly, before and after the trails are open and track-set for the season. I am having trouble finding a boot that will not cause massive heel blisters though. I never have heel blistering problems with my ...
