I did a bit more searching, and it turns out this turn was called the "open Christiania" or sometimes "scissor Christiania" and was all the rage in the 1920s. Yes she is good... Nordic or telemark. She is not the agressive type; she's more of a polite skier... And she likes skiing as much as I do.
