Re: Crispi Futura Pro feedback.
Thanks. Matching boot and ski for conditions and personal preference is more important than what others mean. I am a bit surprised that you prefer the SB112/Futura Pro combination ahead of E88/Alaska BC for kick and glide, but on firmer snow with skis swimming a bit from side to side a better fitti...

Crispi Futura Pro feedback.
I bit the bullet and made the transition to Xplore for my light-duty touring setup and can confidently say that it was worth the investment. Previously I was skiing Excursion 88's with NNNBC/Alaska BCs for rolling terrain and SB98's with Voile Traverse/Scott Excursions for the steeper stuff... just ...

Re: I need a lift ski.
I learned tele on a barely used pair of K2 Work Stinx with Cobra R4’s and a worn out pair of Crispi boots… by the end of the season I was ready to give up the form as I couldn’t manage to hold an edge on WNY hard pack with this setup and just thought that’s the downfall of a free heel on whimpy earl...

Re: New BCXC considering Fischer Traverse 78 / S 88 / S 98
fisheater NOTHING was more important than posture. You might be onto something haha. Coming from a long background in Alpine and Heavy-tele, I'm used to tall, solid boots offering me a ton of power over my skis. Alpina Alaskas and NNNBC bindings not so much... I not really looking for downhill perf...

Re: New BCXC considering Fischer Traverse 78 / S 88 / S 98
I love my Excursions 88's on anything but hardpack. They track, kick, glide and climb extremely well as long as there is loose snow on top. They are not much fun on hardpack though. The camber on the ski makes engaging the edges very tough. Trying to slow down on a hardpacked decent can be difficult...

Re: Advice for telemark skis on hardpacck
I ski Rossi Experience 88's with NTN. They have a 16m radius and are plenty wide for any resort powder you may encounter. They even hold an edge on east coast boilerplate... an all around fun ski. I like them so much that I'm probably going to mount up a pair with alpine bindings so I that can reall...

Camber of Fischer Outback 68 compared to Excursion 88
So up until this weekend I haven't considered classic XC skiing but recently visited a local park that has a mix of groomed and ungroomed trails. I was using my X88's which I know are not meant for track skiing, but hey you dance with the girl you brought. As far as the track portion of the outing g...
