Anybody ever ski on Neveplast? Does is ski like snow? Does it damage skis?

I picked up a pair of what look like vintage 195 Asnes hickory cross country skis with bamboo poles for $2.50. They have a number that begins with 34... The rest is covered by the 3 pin binder. Any insights on actual value? I'm sure they're more valuable than that, if only to hang on a lodge wall. H...

Thanks for the tip TomH. The underfoot spreader bar was about 1/8" off perpendicular on the ski that was releasing. Haven't been out yet, but I'm going to hit the hill confident the problem is fixed.

I learned to telemark on BD Havocs with Garmont Energys - 4 buckle boot. They were the rental rig at the REI store in MN, so midwest /UP resort skiing. It's a good set-up.

I replaced a Hammerhead heel throw last winter with what I believe to have been a 'repaired' heel throw that I bought for a few bucks from some place online. With a fairly tight tension, I released out of the ski with the new heel throw several times? Not sure if there's a connection, but any ideas ...

I have the top boots - bought off of e-bay. Paired with Alpina NNN BC on K2 Piste Stinx of some sort . They're a lot of fun and I think they are great for xcd if you have soft or fresh snow. If you've got good technique, no worries breaking the bar.

I can tell you I would spend a lot more time at this site if the wallpaper were changed to something more suitable to a professional work place. How about just mountains?

Anybody skiing tele in snowboard pants? Pros/cons/no dif?
Got a good deal on a quality product, but seems like they're not gonna feel right with zippers for boots and vents on the inside of the legs.
