Now I want to try T2s with 3-pin bindings.
You will find out if you are getting enough weight your rear foot, or not.

Re: 75mm binding too wide for my boot

I never heard of a 75mm binding that was size specific, could you post a picture? As far as the discrepancy of the pin line, I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: Stretching wool

Well now you know that the belt and suspenders serve two different purposes. As far as the trust thing goes, that may be true as I had heard on this very forum to never trust anyone that skis T4s.

Re: Stretching wool

Nice sweater. In addition to the stretching, I would recommend looking for a pair of high waisted pants that are roomy enough to let you tuck the sweater into. Vintage wool from the 40's or 50's should fit the bill. Use a belt to hold the sweater down and suspenders to hold the pants up. I like the ...

Re: Total noob setup

Brand new to skiing in any form. Moved to Montana, Big Sky area, and want to get into xcd in all its forms. I've done flat track XC skiing once and it bored me to death. I think I've decided on the Madshus Panorama (which model to start? 78? 68?), and some 3 pin bindings, but I don't know about boo...

Re: old wool pants for skiing

Heavy wool pants are too hot for me to ski in. They aren't windproof either, I've had better luck with carharts when it's windy. My favorite pair were old military medium weight. They were loose enough that I could roll them up to my knees and they still let air flow up for ventilation. They were hi...

Re: PSA: milsurp Scarpa T4s

I just skied some Excursions last season and was very impressed with them compared to T4s. They are not as tall or stiff as T4s and are lighter. My Excursions are an early version from the 90s if that matters. The T4s stiffness gives you more power, but I think the softer smoother flex of the Excurs...
