Re: I've started training for next season....
No, I couldn't view previous workouts on the watch, and since I didn't know I could do that on the phone, I simply never saw my previous workouts. Since I got the watch, I seldom carry the phone, and it would be nice to be able to view workout histories. But I really shouldn't be talking about tech ...

Re: I've started training for next season....
Thanks. This is a bit embarrassing, but I was given an apple iwatch a few months ago, and although I log my workouts on the watch, I didn't realize I could view summaries of my workouts on the phone (I'm not the most tech-savvy). Thanks for pointing this out. I just went back and viewed summaries of...

What app is that? I've just started trying to track my training, and I like the info that app gave.

Re: Thoughts on good gloves? Leather? Flylow?
Don't want to hijack this thread, but what model of Hestra's did you get or recommend? Last year I got some BD Guide gloves, and my fingers were often cold. They never were cold with my old Montbell gauntlet gloves, which unfortunately fell apart. Since I liked the Montbell's so much, I'm looking fo...

Re: Questions on Meidjos Setup
Make sure you're able to try on the boots, because Scarpa and Crispi fit very differently. It would take an awful lot of serious work by a boot fitter for me to wear Crispi's comfortably. I wanted to get a pair of their orange boots, but the fit wasn't right. I wouldn't consider buying a boot that d...

Re: Questions on Meidjos Setup
I'm also an old guy, and last yearI switched to Meidjo's from 75mm, and I paired them with Scarpa TX Pros and Elan Ripstick 96. I absolutely loved the setup. I seem to recall seeing the TxPros on sale at various places earlier, but don't recall seeing the Ripsticks on sale. I liked the Meidjo's so m...

Re: New ski length advice
So I finally ordered the Elan 96 in 174 and they will be my main ski for most of the season. I will definitely get more skis at some point, and will then probably go narrower, and maybe shorter. I'm having Meidjo bindings put on the skis, since I've heard they can feel a lot like 75mm and also may r...

Re: New ski length advice
This is all very helpful advice, and it is giving me a lot to think about. One thing is that I now realize I wish I had another pair of my red World Pistes, since I like them so much. Maybe I'll get lucky and find a really cheap pair in good shape on Craigslist. Since I don't have problems controlli...

Re: New ski length advice
This is all good and interesting advice. The reason I've been thinking of a ski about 95mm wide is because shop-people tell me that's on the narrow side now, and most telemark skis are wider than that. I used to have some skis narrower than my current World Pistes (78mm), but I really like the 78mm ...

New ski length advice
I am going to get an NTN setup and have usually skied K2 World Piste 174cm with a 78mm waist. In going to NTN I've been convinced to try a wider ski, and so I'm thinking of getting some Elan Ripstix with 96mm waist, and am wondering whether to get 174cm or 167cm. I was going to stay with 174, but so...
