Re: New School vs Old School blather. It is just skiing.
This philosophy would seemingly be at odds with the min/max attitude I encounter with many individuals who regard themselves as bastions of doing something "the right way." It's not unique to this forum or skiing. I have encountered it in everything from massively multiplayer online role playing gam...

Re: Do I need to remove spray on grip wax?
Thanks. I have asked; no response yet.

Do I need to remove spray on grip wax?
I've been trying Swix spray on grip wax on my E88s, and I cannot find information on if I need to remove it after use.
If so, what is a recommended product or technique for removing spray on grip wax?

Re: Telemark Down (don't do it)
A classic example of a business making their problem the customer's problem.
I do believe a business should have the opportunity to make it right. If they choose not to, well then it's our choice if we continue to tolerate it.

Re: Waxless skis, wet snow, F4 and...skins?
I just got some skins for my E88s, but I haven't had a chance to use them yet. On my last two outings, I used F4 on my scales and Swix spray on grip wax on the tips and tails. Also did this to my gf's 68s. She commented that it seemed to be helping. These trips were 5 miles or under. I didn't reappl...

Adirondack weekend trip
Stayed in Saranac Lake this weekend and skied bit with my Fischer 88s. The first day we tried out the cascade xc center in Lake Placid. The conditions were less than ideal - mid to upper 20s, semi groomed with packed granular - but there was enough loose snow to make it fun. Followed the trails off ...

XC Backcountry Skis For 275 lb Newbie?
Depending on how you feel with balance type activities, I recommend that you go wider than you otherwise would for your desired conditions. For what you describe, I think you’d do rather well on my setup. I’m a solid 5’8” 235# for reference. Fischer excursion 88 in 189 length Fischer BCX6 boots Nnnb...
