Re: Replace Rossignol BC 70's
Gamme 54. You’ll thank your daughter. I don't really understand that ski - seems complicated: skins.., wax... it seems like it's not a "skin ski" (I have a pair of those) where the skins are in a recess and pretty much disappear on the glide. It seems that if you use skins on these skis it's more l...

Replace Rossignol BC 70's
I have a pair of BC70's but I "lent" them to my daughter who lives in Montana, and with me living in Connecticut, I am pretty sure I will never see them again. So, I want to replace them. I see that they don't make the BC70 anymore. They have the BC65, and I think a BC80, but I think I want somethin...

Re: CT Telemarkers
Skied Bennet's Pond/Pine Mountain this morning. Not a bad excursion, and I'm looking forward to exploring there a bit more. Seems like there is a lot to find. i am in CT - not a good tele skier.., just figuring it out... i assume you are not talking about skiing trails - where in those parks are yo...

Re: Wax Question
[quote="Woodserson"then wax again with ski wax. [/quote]
is the Swix F4 worth using? that's pretty much all i have ever used - i have it in a deodorant container, and i think it was also called F4, but it was a paste in a little tin.
thanks

Re: Wax Question
They are AT skis. no pattern... The wax is not sticky - the skins won't stick to it. i am planning use them in more of an XCD role than a skin-up, ski-down role. I was planning to get skis with a pattern (voile objective BC), but i found these (Salomon Mtn explore 88) mounted with the bindings i was...

Wax Question
I don't know much about ski wax... I bought some skis recently, and while they were never used.., they do have a thick-ish layer of wax on the base. I am guessing it was for summer storage. I am thinking I need to remove this wax. The skis came with new skins that are not cut to fit the skis, and in...

Re: Ski Care
sorry if i am ignorant about this...
everything you guys are talking about needs to be melted and spread- right?
is there anything i can just rub on?
my skis are waxless - S-Bound 98's.., so i don't have much in the way of waxing gear

Ski Care
I have googled ski care - specifically what to do so that the metal edges don't rust over the summer.., and the only thing i have seen is scraping.., and waxing.., and ironing... it's more than i am probably going to do is there a simpler option that might work nearly as well? I was thinking of just...

Re: Boot-Binding Compatibility
So, after asking around a bit.., it seems that many (but not all) think that the Hardwire binding is a bit of overkill for the S-bound 98.., irrespective of what boot is used.., and that the 3-pin cable is a more appropriate binding for this ski. I haven't mounted anything yet, and am thinking of j...
