So far, so good in Colorado! nice vintage skis! what binding/boots are you using? Totally jealous over your early-season snow :mrgreen: They look like Riva bindings. I've learned two new terms today!
Brachiating (anrothar) and Falling Leaf (fisheater).
I've used both of these "techniques" in the past without knowing what to call them.
I think my signature technique is the falling baboon. I'm really good at that one...

My wife has the women's T2 of that vinatage, and her only complaint is that she can't operate the walk/ski switch as she can't get the little wire bail out of the slot or back in. It's pretty damn tough for me to operate them as well, but maybe I just haven't cycled the bail in and out enough to br...

I agree that you need a toolbox full of skiing techniques. Especially when you circumstances don't match your gear or your skill level. It's not today, but I thought I should mention an event if anyone is in the vicinity. Saturday, February 25th is the umpteenth annual XC ski poker run in Centennial, WY. About 7 miles of XCD in the Snowy Range mountains. Includes a bonfire, beer and music. This will be my third year in a row. I reco...
