Replacement pants for Patagonia Mixed Guide pants?
I like my Patagonia Mixed Guide shell pants, except....with only vent zips at the hip/thigh area, they do not vent enough for me. They also only have two pockets: One cargo on each thigh which have a flap with velcro. Can anyone recommend a similarly light and unlined shell pant with more and better...

Trade my Alpina Alaska size 43s for your size 44s?
I really like these boots, but to wear the socks I prefer that keep my feet warm, size 43 is too small. Nice fit with thin liner socks but then my feet get cold. I know it's a long shot but I have had luck making trades like this before. Anyone have a pair of Alpina Alaska's, size 44 they'd want to ...

FS: Patagonia Mixed Guide pants, men's 38
I bought these used from “Worn Wear” 2 years ago. They appeared to be brand new when I got them. Since, I have put 25 miles on them cross country skiing. They are clean and in excellent condition! Vent zips on each thigh, two front thigh pockets, and gaitors. They are simply too big for me. Liked th...

Trade size 38 Patagonia Mixed Guide Pants for size 36. Anyone?
I know it's a long shot but.... I had a size 34 which I found too small for my liking. I then found a size 38 on sale so got them. They are way too big! Thought I might get lucky and find someone with a size 36 that would want to trade for my 38. And I am partial to Patagonia... though I would consi...

Re: How far can you travel, cross country, on ungroomed terrain, in one day?
Please excuse my perhaps obnoxiously opinionated response! :D :ugeek:  I am assuming that there is no steep terrain on this trek? In particular- there is little to no true downhill skiing? I would be looking strongly at a more cambered XC ski with a kicker skin. I don't see how you can get en...

Re: How far can you travel, cross country, on ungroomed terrain, in one day?
If you are carrying all your gear I am assuming you will be winter camping? You want to know how much we travel in a single day, but there are so many factors do consider that our numbers will be of little relevance to you and your trip. If you actually want to figure out how long your trek will ta...

Re: How far can you travel, cross country, on ungroomed terrain, in one day?
60 miles in that terrain....let's see. factoring in vodka breaks, smoke breaks, and an occasional actual rest, i figure around 4 days in perfect conditions. more like 5 since i don't like to actually work when i tour. i think some people could probably do it in 2-3 days with no gear and not a lot o...
