Re: How to measure Mondo

Mondo is based on the metric system, and is equal to centimetres (cm). So if you measure the length of your foot (with the type of socks you ski in), heel against the wall - foot on some paper - mark the front = MONDO. Be aware that with most boots (like 99%, more or less) the boot shells runs for 2...

Re: Uh oh. Norrøna skis.

Well, I knew I'd seen Norrona hardgoods, just had to jar the memory. Norrona did make/sell XC boots and shoes in the distant past... I think I'll keep searching but there were probably bindings as well. Norröna is not the same brand as Norrøna. Logo is different, font is different, spelling is diff...

Re: What binding is this?

I had Linken on my first skis. Norwegian brand, started up late 90's/early 00's. I don't recommend them, the resistance/activness from the springs in the binding is nearly non-existing. Had to "re-learn" to ski telemark when I bought new bindings. They went out of business, mainly because it wasn't ...

Re: Please help newbie decide on skis??

I'm currently in Southern Ontario but there's a good chance that I will be relocating to Western Connecticut so that would be my new ski area. Catskills, Adirondacks, Berkshires, maybe White Mountains in NH etc... I guess that would make a difference to the ski I choose? I don't know the difference...

Re: Please help newbie decide on skis??

One thing that should be taken into consideration on a early point, it what intended use is the ski designed for. You can either design mostly Downhill abilities/sacrify XC abilities - or vica versa. Or a compromise (50-50 from both words), which a lot of ski manufactores does. Since you described y...

Re: Meidjo combined with proper tech heel?

1. If you could check the specs for meidjo, and find the hight of the red heel, than its easy to find/measure the backparts of AT bindings, and find a similar hight. I guess you have some wiggle room (+/- some mm). The releasability for the AT bindings work isolated from the toepiece. By that I mean...

Re: Meidjo combined with proper tech heel?

Hight might be a issue, would check meidjo up against several different at bindings, and see if anyone matches. The main problem would be releasability. As you wrote, if you put the binding i "walk mode", which interfere with the releasability for the to part. The binding/frontsprings are not allow ...

Re: Rossi BC110 mounting point?

What's the mounting point? There seems to be a line at the balance point is that correct? Traditionally, on Nordic/BC skis, you mount pivot on balance point (se page 3, link underneath for further info). https://blackdiamondequipment.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-bdel/default/dwb10c57b0/tech-pdf...
